Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council extends Eid Mawled al-Nabi message
Addis Ababa, October 7, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council has extended Mawlid al-Nabi holiday best wishes.
The Supreme Council delivered statement on Friday regarding the celebration of 1,497th birth year of Prophet Mohammed.
The Council stated that this year’s Mawlid al-Nabi will be celebrated with the theme of “The Prophet of Compassion” as he was sent to the whole world to express his excellence.
According to the statement, Prophet Muhammad knew Ethiopia (Habesha Land) in a special way since his early childhood age.
For this reason, the birth of Prophet Mohammed, Mawlid al-Nabi, is celebrated with special honor and pride among Ethiopian Muslims, the statement added.
The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council calls on everyone celebrating the holiday to honor the day with kind and compassionate deeds that maintains peace.
As it delivered a ‘Happy Mawlid al-Nabi’ message, the Council also urged citizens to show compassion by helping the needy citizens and share what they have on the holiday.
