Ethiopian runners set new records in OMT Beirut Marathon

Addis Ababa, November 12, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian runners; Gadissa Tafa and Mulugojam Birhan have set new records in OMT Beirut Marathon in both men’s and women’s races.

Gadissa Tafa clocked 02:10:34 to win the men’s race at the Marathon and break the record of the place. Gojam Belayneh followed his fellow countryman and finished second.

In women’s race, Mulugojam Birhan crossed the line at 02:19:32 to set the new record.

Fellow Ethiopians Getie Dukele and Asmere Beyene also closed out the race second and third respectively.
