Ethiopian unveils new coronvirus field hospital amid rise of severe cases

Addis Ababa, September 13, 2020 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has today inaugurated a new coronavirus field hospital which has a capacity to accommodate 200 patients in severe condition.

On the inaugural occasion, Prime Minister announced commencement of admission of COVID 19 patients who need critical care treatment in to the field hospital.

“The field hospital is a timely treatment center addition.” the Premier stated on the occasion.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has inaugurated this morning the commencement of commercial production of COVID-19 PCR diagnostic testing kits in Ethiopia as confirmed coronavirus cases in the country reached 63, 888.
