Ethiopian Women Fish Producers and Traders Network established as African Chapter

Addis Ababa, October 12, 2021 (FBC) – Ethiopian Women Fish Producers and Traders Network has been established in Addis Ababa in attendance of high government officials and representatives of partners.

The association is said to be the Ethiopian chapter of the African Women Fish Producers and Traders Network, and become instrumental in facilitating trade links at national and regional level as well.

Hussein Abegaz, a Fishery Development Directorate Director at Ministry of Agriculture, said the network will serve as platform to share best experiences among women engaged in fishery, and help maintain quality of production in the sector.
