Ethiopians in US donate 1Mn USD in support of COVID 19 prevention activities
Addis Ababa, December 20, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopians who are living in the US have contributed 1 Million USD in support of COVID 19 prevention and control activities in Ethiopia.
Ethiopian Ambassador to the US, Fitsum Arega underlined that the unity shown by Ethiopians in responding to the unprecedented health crisis inspiring. The ambassador tweeted saying: “We are extremely grateful for your support to fight COVID 19 in Ethiopia.”
The support extended by the Ethiopians in the US is indispensable to mobilize further support from the Ethiopian Community in the US.
More than 1,500 Ethiopians in the US have participated in the fundraising event, according to the ambassador.
