Ethiopians to stage nationwide rally showing solidarity on sovereignty, denouncing Western powers ‘wrong stance’

Addis Ababa, October 20, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopians have reportedly scheduled to hold a nationwide rally themed “I will stand for Ethiopia and raise my voice”, on Saturday.

It is said that the public demonstration is jointly organized by professional associations, civic associations and different political parties of Ethiopia.

The main purpose of the rally is to show the international community about the true state of current affairs in Ethiopia, to express solidarity on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of their country, and to show support to the central government in all aspects, the organizers of the rally said.

The organizers said that the peaceful demonstration will convey messages against the Western powers and international organizations soft stance on the terrorist TPLF and their politically motivated pressure on Ethiopia.

The statement added that this will be a rally where the people show their support on the defensive measures of the Ethiopian Defense Forces to reverse the TPLF-initiated conflict.

It has been announced that the public rally is scheduled to be held all over Ethiopia.
