Ethiopians urged to join hands to overcome COVID 19-related hardships

Addis Ababa, May 07, 2020 (FBC) –The Attorney General and Coordinator of the National COVID 19 Resource Mobilization Committee, Adanech Abiebie, said Ethiopians can overcome coronavirus-related hardships if they join hands.

She made the remake while receiving a donation of 160 COVID disinfectant sprayers valued at 350,000 birr from a private company named Crop Save Plc today.

The company has also contributed 300,000 birr in monetary to the committee

Many Ethiopians are supporting the fight against the virus ranging from provision of food items to donation of millions of birr responding to the COVID 19 emergency call from the government, Adanech said.

She extended gratitude to the donors on behalf of the national fund raising committee.

Adanech further stressed the need for continued support from all stakeholders while also urging the public to adhere to precautions set by the government to combat the outbreak.

Adanech handed over the donated equipment to Dr. Ebba Abate, the Director of the Ethiopian Public Health Institute, one of the nations’ COVID 19 testing facilities.
