Ethiopia’s Sutume Kebede reigns supreme at Tata Steel Kolkata 25K
Addis Ababa, December 17, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Sutume Kebede reigns supreme Tata Steel Kolkata International Elite Women’s 25km race earlier today.
Sutume set the Tata Steel Kolkata 25K event record with a provisional time of 01:18:47.
Her compatriot Yalemzerf Yehualaw finished second, with the time of 01:19:26. Kenya’s Betty Kibet finished 3rd with a time of 01:21:43.
In the men’s elite race, Ethiopia’s Tesfaye finished 3rd, clocking 01:13:36. Kenya’s Vintor Togom and Daniel Ebenyo finished 1st and 2nd, respectively.
Meanwhile, Dechase Moreda of Ethiopia has been crowned as the winner of the Taipei Marathon 2023 by clocking 2:11:56. His compatriot Meseret Aragaw came third with a time of 2:12:50. Wilfred Kigen of Kenya finished second, clocking 2:11:58.
