EU donates 13 field vehicles, 40 motorcycles in support of rural dev’t in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May 25, 2021 (FBC) – European Union under its program, Health of Ethiopian Animals for Rural Development (HEARD), handed over 13 field vehicles, 40 motorcycles and 7 generators to the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the Amhara, Oromia and Somali regional state livestock bureaus.

These assets were procured and delivered to contribute to the improvement of the quality of public and private animal health – veterinary service delivery system.

During the past 10 years, the EU has been supporting the livestock sector in Ethiopia, with more than 40 million Euro (more than 2 billion birr) worth of projects, mainly focusing on improvement of quality public and private animal health – veterinary service delivery system.
