EU reiterates commitment to deepen relations with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, February 27, 2020 (FBC) –Ethiopia’s Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy, Dr. Seleshi Bekele met with Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice President for European Green Deal.

During the meeting held here today, they explored possible areas of cooperation in renewable energy, climate-resilient water supply systems, afforestation, agricultural production, adaptation and mitigation.

The Vice President commended the achievements made by the Government of Ethiopia in various sectors, according to the Ministry.

Timmermans also assured the Ethiopian Minister of the Commission’s commitment to further deepen relations by showcasing the strategic partnership in upcoming COP platforms.
