Federal, regional police commissioners meet to discuss peace

Addis Ababa, October 14, 2020 (FBC) –Federal and regional police commissioners have begun their 11th conference in Addis Ababa today.

In his opening remark, Endeshaw Tassew, Federal Police Commissioner General, said “Ethiopia is on the path towards reform.”

The reform has brought beneficial and tangible results, he added.

However, internal and external forces have been making efforts by setting agendas individually and in group to affect peace and hider development in the country by, he said.

But, the security forces have been working in unity to foil their efforts, the Commissioner General stated.

He further said police is undergoing reforms, taking into consideration global security situations and to better serve the government and the public.

The two-day conference will deliberate on reports of all regional states on security situations.
