Field Marshal Birhanu Jula arrives in Juba for an official visit

Addis Ababa, March 20, 2024 (FBC) – Chief of General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Field Marshal Birhanu Jula has arrived in Juba, capital of South Sudan for a two day official visit.

The arrival of the Ethiopian military delegation in Juba has been preceded by an official invitation of the South Sudanese Government.

The Ethiopian delegation was accorded a warm welcome by Chief of General Staff of South Sudan People’s Defense Forces, Lt. General Santino Deng Wol and top military officers of the country.

Field Marshal Birhanu Jula has discussed with his counterpart Lt. General Santino Deng Wol other senior military officers on bilateral issues of mutual concern.

They two sides discussed ways how to cement cooperation in ensuring sustainable peace and stablity in border areas of the two countries and the region at large.
