Finland pledges commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s national dialogue process 

Addis Ababa, April 18, 2024 (FBC) – State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga met with Suldaan Said Ahmed, Special Envoy of Finland for Peace Mediation to the Horn of Africa and discussed ways of enhancing bilateral cooperation between Ethiopia and Finland.

Both officials emphasized the importance of strengthening ties in various areas including agriculture technology and education.

Ambassador Mesganu highlighted Ethiopia’s commitment to continue its positive role for regional peace and stability. The state Minister assured that the government of Ethiopia is committed to fully implement the Pretoria peace agreement.

Special envoy Suldaan Said, acknowledged Ethiopia’s role in the peace and stability of the Horn of Africa. He underscored Finland’s commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s national dialogue process.

The two officials exchanged views on a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, reaffirming their mutual dedication to fostering stronger diplomatic relations.
