Finland reiterates continued support to enhance metrological services in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, January 27, 2022 (FBC) – Finland has reiterated continued support to Ministry of Water and Energy in order to enhance metrological services in Ethiopia.

The Water and Energy Minister, Engineer Habtamu Habtamu Itefa discussed with Finnish Ambassador to Ethiopia, Outi Holopainen on ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the meteorology sector.

It is stated on the occasion that installation of weather radar systems, metrological records and predictions technology is underway in Ethiopia with support of the Finnish Government.

The Water and Energy Minister commended support of the Finnish Government in the water technology and meteorology fields.

Ambassador Outi Holopainen, for his part, reiterated the commitment of his country to continue supporting Ethiopia in the meteorology, water and related sectors.
