Fire in Werabe Causes Damage

Addis Ababa, October 10, 2021 (FBC) – Fire in Werabe today has caused damages on property.

According to Werabe Police Chief, Abdurahim Hussein, the fire arose in kebele 02 of the city administration at about 1:00 p.m. local time, destroyed four houses while injuring one person.

The fire was able to put down through the administration’s fire brigade and residents’ collaborative efforts.

The chief has noted that the cause of the fire is under investigation.  He has also reminded people to carefully storing and using inflammable materials like fuel and gas.

The Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples’ State Government Communications Office reported that property damages by the fire are being calculated.
