France pledges to support Ethiopia’s efforts to spur agricultural export

Addis Ababa, March 27, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia, Belete Molla (PhD) has discussed with French Agricultural and Food Counsellor for East Africa and the Indian Ocean, Vincent Abt (PhD) on how to boost cooperation between the two countries.

The Minister said that Ethiopia needs to take lessons from countries with advanced experiences in like France to mechanize the agricultural productivity.

Vincent Abt, on his part, affirmed France’s commitment to help Ethiopia promote its agricultural products in the international market and attract more investments.

He also stressed need to promote innovation and protect product intellectual properties to better penetrate foreign markets.

The two sides agreed to cement partnership based on joint cooperation framework in agriculture sector.
