GERD fundraiser bond purchasing youth campaign underway in the Capital

Addis Ababa, May 2, 2023 (FBC) – The Addis Ababa Prosperity Party Youth League has officially launched today GERD fundraiser bond purchasing program for the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).

It is stated that the bond purchasing campaign will be held for three consecutive weeks under the theme “I have a stake”.

The head of Addis Ababa Youth and Sports Office, Belay Dejen, head of the Addis Ababa GERD Public Participation Coordination Project office, Misker Negash, and head of the Addis Ababa Youth League office, Meles Abate, were present at the launching event.

Highlighting the GERD fundraiser youth propelling, Meles Abate revealed that it is planned to raise more than 80 million birr during this round of the campaign.

Head of the Public Participation Coordination Project Office of GERD in Addis Ababa, Misker Negash, said that the youth are providing various support for the completion of the Dam construction.

During his remarks at the event, Misker called on the youth to strengthen their support for the construction of the national flagship project, GERD.
