Germany grants €6mln for Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund

Addis Ababa, December 19, 2022 (FBC) – UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) announced that Germany has granted additional 6 million Euro for Ethiopia Humanitarian Fund (EHF).

According to OCHA, the financial assistance contribute by Germany will be used to deliver crucial funding to humanitarian activities in Ethiopia, incl. in delivering vital protection response.

The EHF supports a timely, lifesaving and needs based approach with a focus on emergency readiness and response, according to OCHA.

A commitment of the EHF is for the most vulnerable people to be at the center of programmes, OCHA said.
