Getachew Reda appointed Chief Administrator of Tigray Interim Administrative

Addis Ababa, March 23, 2023 (FBC) – Office of Prime Minister has officially announced the appointment of Getachew Reda as Chief Administrator of Tigray Region Interim Administrative.

The Office stated that Council of Ministers, during its regular session held on 18 March 2023, approved the act to establish the Tigray Region Interim Inclusive Administration pursuant to the FDRE Constitution Article 62 (9), and Proclamation No 359/8995 and the Pretoria Peace Agreement Article 10 (1).

Based on article 3 (2) of the act, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has appointed Getachew Reda as Chief Administrator of Tigray Region Interim Administrative, the Office stated.

The Chief Administrator has been entrusted with a responsibility to establish an inclusive administration, lead and coordinate the executive body in a way that ensures representation of all political actors operating in Tigray.
