Government officially recognizes 52 Ethiopian Diaspora community organizations

Addis Ababa, January 26, 2023 (FBC) – Government has officially recognized some 52 Ethiopian Diaspora community organizations for their outstanding contribution for the overall national calls.

President Sahle-Work Zewde and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister Demeke Mekonnen  along with other high ranking government officials have attended the official recognition ceremony.

The Diaspora organizations have received certificates and other awards for their contributions to the national calls made by the government during various circumstances.

The members of the recognized Diaspora organizations are said to have actively participated in public diplomacy, promotion of investments, image building and resource mobilization, among others.

The Diaspora community has contributed its part in safeguarding the national interest as well as economic and social development endeavors, it is indicated on the occasion.
