Gov’t officials hold discussion with representatives of Afar, Issa communities

Addis Ababa, January 4, 2021 (FBC) –A high-level delegation led by Firealem Shibabaw, State Minister of Peace, met with representatives of Afar and Issa communities living in Afar regional state.

Members of the delegation are drawn from office of the Prime Minister, Federal Police Commission and Information Network Security Agency (INSA), among others.

During the discussions held in Gewane, Aruka and Endifo towns, the State Minister, said the government is working to address problems that occurred in the areas.

The government will provide assistance to those affected by the problems, she said, also calling on the representatives to work jointly with security officers for peace.
