Grand Mufti Haji Omar Idris extends greetings on Eid al-Fitr
Addis Ababa, May 11, 2021 (FBC) – President of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Grand Mufti Haji Omar Idris has extended greetings to all Muslims on celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The Grand Mufti urged Muslims to pay Zakat al-Fitr and show kindness to the poor before the Eid prayers.
Grand Mufti further called up on the faithful to celebrate the festival with people in need, and pray to God (Allah) supplicating his forgiveness.
He also urged the people to adhere to COVID 19 control and prevention rules while celebrating Eid al-Fitr.
Eid al-Fitr will fall on Wednesday May 13 based on the sighting of the moon these evening or Thursday.
