Health Minister appreciates partners for NCD screening, treatment at PHC in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May 10, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Minister of Health, Lia Tadesse, has met and discussed with Bloomberg Philanthropies and partners from Resolve to Save Lives, Vital Strategies, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Global Health Advocacy Incubator and Ethiopian cancer society.

The health Minister expressed her gratitude for the partners for their insightful discussion and the support on the ongoing efforts for unhealthy diet control legal frameworks, and expanding access to None communicable Diseases (NCD) screening, care and treatment at Primary Heath Care (PHC) in Ethiopia.

“To reduce the rising number of premature deaths and disabilities from non-communicable diseases, prevention policies are key”, the minister has stated.
