Health Ministry inaugurates Cutting edge multipurpose medical laboratory machines

Addis Ababa, September 29, 2021 (FBC) – The Health Ministry yesterday graduated cutting edge medical laboratory machines in the presence of senior government officials.

Molecular testing machines inaugurated in the premises of St. Paul Medical Millennium Medical College and Ethiopian Public Health Institute are said to have a capacity of testing a total of 4,500 samples of TB, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, cervical cancer, various sexually transmitted diseases, and other cases in 24 hours.

On the occasion, the Health Minister, Dr. Lia Tadesse said the government along with various partner agencies has been undertaking different initiatives to enhance the laboratory quality and capacity nationally.
