Hungary reaffirms continued cooperation with Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, April 18, 2023 (FBC) – The government of Hungary reaffirmed that it will continue to strengthen its cooperation with Ethiopia in education sector.

Ethiopia’s Minister of Education, Berhanu Nega, discussed with Peter Siarto, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary.

It is noted that the discussion focused on the issues that the two countries can work together in higher education.

Following consultations on scholarship opportunities for Ethiopian students, the Hungarian Minister confirmed that his country is ready to double the scholarship opportunities to Ethiopian students.

Accordingly, it is stated that Hungary has pledged to increase the scholarship grants allotted to Ethiopian students from 50 to 100 every year.
