ICRC, UNHCR distribute food items to 8,000 IDPs in Semera, Afar Region

Addis Ababa, May 31, 2022 (FBC) – International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have distributed food items to 8,000 internally displaced people (IDPs) in Semera, Afar Region.

The food items distributed to the IDPs in camps situated in Semera town include wheat, oil, salt, lentils and chickpeas, among others.

UN Agencies and partners are working together to ensure that food and basic services are consistently available for IDPs, UNHCR Ethiopia Office stated.
