IOM appeals for $58.5mln to support humanitarian assistance for 1mln people along the Eastern Route

Addis Ababa, May 11, 2023 (FBC) – International Organization for Migration (IOM, alias UN Migration) appealed to development donors for 58.5 million US Dollars to support humanitarian assistance for 1 million people along the Eastern Route.

It is stated that a donor briefing on the Migrant Response Plan for the Horn of Africa and Yemen took place today.

This meeting reportedly brought together representatives from Somalia, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Yemen; the donor community and IOM colleagues to discuss the current situation of migrants and host communities along the Eastern Migration Route.
