KSrelief provides $1mln for a returnees’ rehabilitation project in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 15, 2023 (FBC) – King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center(KSrelief) has provided 1 million USD support for a returnees’ rehabilitation project in Ethiopia.

The financial support is needed to assist over 18,000 Ethiopian migrants returning from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and finance public awareness programs aimed at preventing human trafficking.

State Minister for Women and Social Affairs, Huria Ali, expressed her gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the financial aid to support the rehabilitation program.

Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia, Fahad Alhumaydani Almotairi, for his part, reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to continue supporting the rehabilitation of the returnees.

The Project is to be implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Women and Social Affairs, Disaster Risk Management Commission and IOM Ethiopia.
