Kuwaiti investors embark on agricultural investment in Afar Region

Addis Ababa, December 19, 2022 (FBC) – Chief Administrator of the Afar Regional State, Haji Awol Arba has visited preoperational activities being carried out on an agricultural investment site that has been leased to Kwaiti investors.

The Kwaiti investors, backed by advanced technologies, are engaged in agricultural investment on 5,000 ha of land involving in production of wheat, maize and fodder in the region.

The Chief Administrator appreciated the use of the agricultural technologies and the respective investment activities being carried out by the Kuwaiti business people, calling for strengthened engagement to scale up the best practices to other parts of the region.

The Kuwait investors, for their parts, vowed to benefit the community from their investment undertakings and expand knowledge and technology transfer works in the region.
