Leica Geosystems, an Israeli mining company pledges commitment to continue investment in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 23, 2021 (FBC) – The Minister of Ministry of Mines, Takele Uma met with senior management of Leica Geosystems, an Israeli company headquartered in Israel, and involving in mining operations in Ethiopia.

During the discussion, the management of Leica Geosystems has expressed commitment to continue investment in Ethiopia.

Takele has expressed gratitude to the Israeli mining company for “standing with the Ethiopian people and government”

The Minister underlined that participation of the private investment remains highly needed by Ethiopia particularly at this time.

Reta Alemu, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to Israel, for his part, commended the participation of Israeli companies in mining sector in Ethiopia.

Appreciating the longstanding ties between Ethiopia and Israel in the historical and spiritual spheres, the Ambassador further underscored that the involvement of the Israeli private sectors would help strengthen the ties between the two countries.
