Mayor: Irrecha Fosters Solidarity, Celebration Underway in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, October 1, 2021 (FBC) – Irrecha festival is happening here in the Ethiopian Capital. Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abebe, remindes that Irrecha is a festivity of ‘love and peace.’ It thus fosters solidarity.
Entering its third year to happen in Addis Ababa, this thanksgiving festival is becoming another tourism attraction, Adanech notes.

Oromia State President Shimeles Abdissa for his part has said, ‘Mogassa’ and ‘Gudifecha i.e., inclusiveness and adoption, are magnificent traditional practices of the Oromo to be revered by humankind.
The 3rd Irrecha peace forum has also been held. This year’s celebration of Irrecha continues for the coming few days.
