Mayor launches annual house renovation initiative for elderly people

Addis Ababa, May 2022 (FBC) – Mayor of Addis Ababa, Adanech Abiebie has launched the annual house renovation initiative which is aimed at transforming livelihoods of the elderly in slum residences in Addis Ababa.

The initiative which the Mayor Adanech launched at Kirkos Sub City will be carried out with a budget of 15 million ETB, and expected to be completed before the rainy season.

Mayor called on all stakeholders to back the renovation and refurbishment activities being carried out since the last few years as per the initiative introduced by Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
