Megech Dam Project 70pct completed
Addis Ababa, June 5, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has today announced 70 percent completion of Megech Dam Project.
It has been a point of contention for people of the area given the delay induced resource wastage, the Premier noted while vusiting the dam today.
In the past year especially the construction has accelerated and is at 70 percent at the moment.
Within the next five months, Megech Dam priject will be finalized and available for drinking water and irrigation development, the Prime Minister said.
It has been over eight years since the Megech dam construction began.
