Megertu Alemu, Tamrat Tola finish London Marathon 2nd and 3rd
Addis Ababa, April 23, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Athletes Megertu Alemu and Tamrat Tola have finished the London Marathon 2023 in second and third ranks in men’s and women’s races respectively.
In women’s race, Megertu Alemu ran the distance in 2hr 18min 37sec, settling for the 2nd place.
In Men’s race, Tamrat Tola, another Ethiopian Athlete ranked third with a time of 2:04:59.
Ethiopian born Dutch middle-distance athlete Sifan Hassan scored a stunning upset to win her debut marathon. Hassan finished in 2:18:34.
