MFA: Ethiopian, Malawian gov’ts jointly investigating the reported mass graves found in Mzimba

Addis Ababa, October 21, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Government together with the Government of Malawi is investigating the alleged story regarding the unearthing of mass graves of suspected  to be Ethiopian migrants in Malawi, confirmed Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia (MFA).

Quoting Malawi’s police, various international media have also reported this story of mass graves of 25 people suspected of Ethiopian migrants in a dense forest in the northern province of Malawi, called Mzimba,.

MFA announced on Friday that the Government of Ethiopia is investigating the report together with the government of Malawi.

The Ministry also expressed condolences over the deaths of the individuals.
