Minister of Peace receives EU Commissioner for Home Affairs

Addis Ababa, February 28, 2020 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Peace Muferihat Kamil held discussion yesterday with Ylva Johansson, Commissioner for Home Affairs of European Union.

Muferihat appreciated EU’s partnership in promoting and supporting the reforms in Ethiopia, according to the Ministry of Peace.

She said the relationship between Ethiopia and Europe is based on the common interests of the countries.

She also briefed the Commissioner on the contribution of Ethiopia to peace and stability in the region.

Muferihat noted that changes in all sectors will continue to be strengthened to ensure sustainable peace and security in the country.

The Minister also discussed on human trafficking, migration, socio-economic and political issues.
