Ministerial Committee evaluates execution of emergency decree

Addis Ababa, May 28, 2020 (FBC) –The COVID-19 Ministerial Committee today reviewed the execution of the state of emergency declared to halt the spread of the virus.

The meeting stressed the need to attach due attention at border areas by strengthening quarantine facilities, said office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

It also called for a strengthened screening program in areas with high risk of COVID-19 transmission.

It further proposed direction for a tightened control and prevention measures in areas hit relatively high with the virus.

The committee also decided the repatriation of Ethiopians living in a difficult situation abroad to begin within the coming two days.
