Ministries sign MOU to advance Coffee Trade

Addis Ababa, July 21, 2020 (FBC) – Ministries of Agriculture and Innovation and Technology have signed Memorandum of Understanding in a view to advance coffee trade system.

The Agriculture Minister Omer Hussien and the Innovation and Technology Minister Dr. Abrham Belay have signed the MOU representing their respective Institutions.

It is stated on the occasion that the MOU basically aims to develop a digital platform that directly links coffee farmers with consumers and enhances competences of Ethiopian coffee trade at global level.

A new coffee trade system to be developed as per the MOU will be applied through a mobile phone app and enable participants exchange information in online system.
