MoFA, Ambassadors of EU members states annual consultation underway

Addis Ababa, December 7, 2023 (FBC) – Annual joint consultation forum of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and ambassadors of EU member states is taking place in Addis Ababa.

The consolation is taking place pursuant to the cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, EU Mission in Addis Ababa and Ambassadors of EU member states 2016.

The meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Demeke Mekonnen, is focused on enhancing EU-Ethiopia partnership and consolidating member states’ support to the rehabilitation and reconstruction endeavors in Ethiopia.

Materialization of the agreements signed between Ethiopia and EU and supporting the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants are also at the core of the agenda of the meeting.

Other regional and international issues of mutual concern are also expected to be covered by the joint consultation forum.
