MoPD Minister discusses with Dev’t Partners Group

Addis Ababa, August 29, 2023 (FBC) – The Minister of Planning and Development, Fitsum Asefa, held a bilateral discussion with the Development Partners Group (DPG) this morning.

The discussion focused on the government of Ethiopia’s development priorities and the role that development partners can play in supporting these priorities.

Fitsum highlighted the government’s commitment to working in collaboration with development partners to achieve its development goals, noting that the government has made significant progress in recent years.

The New DPG Co-Chair, also the UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Ethiopia, Dr. Ramiz Alakhbarov expressed the Group’s continued support for the government’s efforts.

He also delineated the issue of climate change, and pledged to support Ethiopia’s participation in COP28, the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference, as per the Ministry of Planning and Development.
