MoWSA announces activities to treat PTSD the terrorist TPLF inflicted on Women, Children

Addis Ababa, December 27, 2021 (FBC) – State Minister of Ministery of Women and Social Affairs, Muna Ahmed has announced activities to treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) the terrorist TPLF inflicted on Women, Children in areas it invaded.

The State Minister disclosed that the forces of the terrorist organization gang-raped, assaulted and massacred women and children in areas it occupied.

TPLF forces also vandalized and looted properties that were used by women and children and destroyed maternal and child care services and left thsese vulnerable segments of the society to a catastrophic situation in northern parts of the country.

Many women and children are suffering from desperate physical and psychological situation due to displacements and assaults they sustained due to terrorist group aggression, she said, adding that coordinated efforts are underway to address the situation.

The government is resuming basic health and other social services in recently liberated areas in the Afar and Amhara regions, she indicated.

Women and children constitute the larger proportion from more than 4 million people who are vulnerable to dire situation due to the TPLF aggression, calling all stakeholders and the public at large to contribute to the efforts under way to rehabilitate and provide these victimized segments of the society with necessary psychological treatments.
