National Dialogue Commission, dev’t partners joint discussion held

Addis Ababa, December 2, 2022 (FBC) – The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission and development partners’ joint discussion held on Friday, in Addis Ababa.

The chairperson of the National Dialogue Commission, Prof. Mesfen Araya, called on the Trust Fund established by the United Nations Development Organization and the Ministry of Finance to continue its support to the commission.

Minister of State for Economic Cooperation at the Ministry of Finance, Ms. Semerita Sewasew, said that the establishment of a trust fund from international development partners and managed by the United Nations Development Organization will enable the commission to carry out its mission without interference.

Achim Steiner, administrator of the United Nations Development Programme, mentioned that in the last five months, $1.3 million has been allocated for the commission and various activities have been carried out.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the Trust Fund will continue to contribute to the National Dialogue Commission to fulfil its mission.
