NBE, Central Bank of China discuss potential technical cooperation

Addis Ababa, December 25, 2023 (FBC) – A delegation from the National Bank of Ethiopia, including the Vice Governor, Senior Advisors, and Directors, along with the CEO of the Ethiopian Securities Exchange (ESX) embarked on a key visit to China’s cities of Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

The delegates trip to the Asian country aims to study China’s journey in financial sector liberalization, including the integration of foreign banks, and to gain insights into the sequencing of reforms and the growth of capital markets.

The delegation also engaged in strategic discussions with the leadership of central bank of China, focusing on future technical cooperation, NBE indicated.
