New cabinet members urged to pursue diligent, devotion in light of current situation

Addis Ababa, October 8, 2021 (FBC) – Scholars urged newly appointed cabinet members to work diligently and devotely to help Ethiopia overcome current circumstances and speech up ongoing development endeavors.

Scholars who were contacted by FBC yesterday said newly elected cabinet members are entrusted by the government and the public in general to fend off pressures from both within and outside and transform the nation to the next level.

A public administration researcher at Civil Service University, Mohammed Ali told FBC that the current cabinet members came to power at a time when the country is in need of concerted efforts from all responsible citizens, calling high officials to work around the clock for better results.

He called on the leaders to detach themselves from ethnic based attitudes and invest their time and knowledge for addressing socio-economic problems in the country.

Another scholar from Wolkite University, Hailu Nega demanded that the new cabinet members are entrusted with responsibilities to defend national interests of the nation from both internal and external forces and play an important role in the diplomatic sphere as well.
