Newly appointed Ethiopian consul to Bahrain takes office

Addis Ababa, December 23, 2020 (FBC) – The newly appointed Ethiopian Consul to Bahrain, Jemal Beker has arrived in the capital yesterday to commence works as a diplomatic representative.

It is to be recalled that Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, during his meeting in Dubai with Ethiopians and people of Ethiopian descent in the Middle East, directed the establishment of a mission to ensure the safety and well-being of Ethiopian citizens in Bahrain and to further strengthen relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Jemal on the occasion said the opening of the consulate general will have a paramount significance to protect and preserve rights of Ethiopians who are living in Bahrain.
