Peace Minister discusses with representatives of UN Agencies, other int’l organizations

Addis Ababa, March 3, 2021 (FBC) – The Peace Minister Muferihat Kamil has today held discussions with representatives of UN Agencies and International Organizations participating in emergency aid distribution in the Tigray Region.

At the meeting, the Minister has reiterated the Ethiopia’s commitment to work with all interested parties to deliver food and non-food aid to people in need in affected areas of the region.

During the meeting, the representatives confirmed their encouragement towards the Government’s ongoing commitment in facilitating access to Tigray.

Moreover, Minister Muferihat underlined the government’s unreserved commitment in rehabilitating and rebuilding the region.

The aid agencies further appreciated Ethiopia’s efforts and also posed questions on issues that required clarification. To that end the Minister provided clarification on the issues raised by the agencies.
