Photographic exhibition depicting early times of Addis Ababa opens

Addis Ababa, June 2, 2023 (FBC) – A photographic exhibition showcasing rare pictures of the early times of Addis Ababa, including several made by the Swiss Engineer Alfred Ilg is underway at Yimbtubezina Museum.

Diplomatic members and foreign visitors have attended the opening of the photographic exhibition entitled “Addis Ababa: The Birth of a City”.

Hugues Fontaine, the renowned French photographer, has presented his photographs of Addis Ababa at the exhibition.

The exhibition which is showcasing historical photographs of Addis Ababa lasts until 15th June. Yimtubezina Museum, located in Friendship Park II, is an independent private museum, the first of its kind in Ethiopia.
