PM Abiy reiterates Ethiopia’s solidarity with Sudan in its political dialogue process

Addis Ababa, January 26, 2023 (FBC) – The FDRE Prime Minister, Abiy Ahmed, has reiterated Ethiopia’s solidarity with Sudan in the political dialogue process that they have embarked upon, according to the Office of the Prime Minster.

Prime Minister Abiy, alongside his delegation, has arrived in Sudan earlier today for a one day working visit. The delegation was received by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, during the bilateral discussions with General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan, shared Ethiopia’s solidarity with Sudan in the political dialogue process that they have embarked upon.

He also praised the wisdom and ability of the Sudanese people to successfully lead the process without any intervention.

In the second meeting held during the visit to the Republic of Sudan, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed encouraged Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo to tap into the abundant capacity of the Sudanese people in solving their own challenges.
