PM calls on Ethiopians, friends of Ethiopia to leave a legacy

Addis Ababa, August 19, 2020 (FBC) –Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed has called on Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia to leave a legacy by supporting Gorgora, Wonchi, Koysha projects.

Last Sunday, the Prime Minister officially launched the ‘Dine for the Nation’ program to mobilise funds for the three projects that will be started in Amhara, Oromia and Southern regional state.

In a tweet today, he said “A year ago we promised and then we delivered. Now we call upon all Ethiopians and friends of Ethiopia to DINE FOR ETHIOPIA – LEAVE A LEGACY.”

Ethiopian and friends of Ethiopia can use account number 1000339911267, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), Addis Ababa Branch, for 10 million and 5 million birr deposits, plus domestic contributions of any amount.

The account number for diaspora contributions of any amount is 0100101300591, National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).

In addition, all citizens are invited to leave a legacy by texting any contribution amount via SMS short code 333.

The ‘Dine for the Nation’ program aims to raise 3 billion birr in the next two months.

Staff members of office of the Prime Minister contributed their one month salary to the project.
