PM, First Lady hand over food supplies to Addis Ababa City Admin.

Addis Ababa, April 11, 2020 (FBC) -Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and First Lady Zinash Tayachew handed over food supplies to the Addis Ababa City Administration as part of the ‘Each One Feed One’ National Challenge Prime Minister Abiy put forth a week ago.

The dry food items donated are in support of 1,000 households of a larger pool of households that the City Administration has identified as extremely vulnerable and needing support within the city, according to Office of the Prime Minister.

The ‘Each One Feed One’ challenge, launched by the Prime Minister, is a nationwide effort to mobilize individuals at every level to provide a meal, matching their own meal, to the most vulnerable sections of society.

Considering the adverse effects that COVID19 is introducing, the challenge posed by the Prime Minister aims to alleviate some of the economic burdens that the most vulnerable sections of society will be faced in this period.
